I have never gone to a movie that did not start on time until I came here. I imagine it is because theaters know how long movies are supposed to run for, leave some time for cleanup and then let the next group in. Not hard. But apparently this easy feat is a problem at Cineworld. My friends and I lined up for Skyfall, and the previous crowd did not even start walking out of their movie until 15 minutes after our movie was scheduled to start. Course with the quick and understandably shabby cleaning job (5 minutes), we weren't in the theater until 20 minutes after start. That is all fine, as I was willing to let a lot go for Bond.
I assumed they would have to start the show after ours 20 minutes late as well, which seems ok if they gave the next group a heads up. But they screwed us instead by cutting off our trailers. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I LOVE trailers. Mess with these at your own peril.
No apology, no coupon for a future show, nothing. Just moved us along to get ready for the next show.
But movie theaters play movies, and that is what this place did, so I can't really give it one star, especially since I still go there. But be warned, these guys are not entirely on top of things.
Side note: this place also benefits from the fact they are adjacent to a Nando's, which, while totally out of their control is still a real positive!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Qype-användare (tomsk7…)Dublin, Irland14120659 dec. 2009
Newly built, as cinemas go, this is generally pretty standard - it's big, fairly clean and they offer all sorts of overpriced food and drink that will turn you into the type of walking heart-attack that you see on shock obesity documentaries.
However, the reason I like Cineworld is that on Saturday mornings, they have a kids club which is just £1 per ticket - including adults - for a fairly recent kids film (choice of three, usually) and also might include a bit of entertainment, like face-painting.
A great way to keep the little monsters entertained for a whole morning for almost nothing !Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype-användare (nveitc…)Wellingborough, Storbritannien57615 nov. 2008
A vast improvement on Vue in the graften centre, there is more screens, cleaner, more modern, food tastes better, well situated and laid out and easier to get to, would definately choose Cineworld over Vue!
The cinema is located upstairs with arcades/pizza hut and a gym situated around the area, they also offer pick and mix, ice creams as well as the concession standHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype-användare (ozvald…)Cambridge, Storbritannien17311219 okt. 2008
This Cineworld is very comfortable and usually well-organised. It's fairly easy to park nearby, and the seats are big and soft, just as they should be. The projection and sound are first-rate, the popcorn is good.
But it's sooo expensive! Currently an adult evening ticket is £7.30, which is a rip-off.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Qype-användare (janet_…)Cambridge, Kanada759120 nov. 2008
As cinemas go this one is quite chilly - so take your coat or a warm jumper! The films on offer here are plentiful and current.. the price is standard and you get a discount at the car park (which incidentally is ridiculously tight to drive around in in a big car - or a small car!) The cinema is fairly new Go on a tuesday and take advantage of the cheap day tuesday card - this reduces the price slightly. You can also get a monthly pass - you have to subscribe for a year, but if you go more than twice a month then this option is definately worth it. There are some bars and restaurants near by so you can makea real evening of it.

SO much better than vue in the grafton centre, and more screen than the picturehouse in town, love cineworld, love its cheap tuesday nights for half price tickets, and orange wednesdays. Never get a bad seat in any of the screens as the seats are staggered, except for the first few rows, but then you have to turn up really late to not get a decent seat!

This is just another multiplex cinema. There is nothing unique about it. It shows the latest blockbusters which is what it's there for. It is easy to get to, there is plenty of parking nearby which is a bonus. There are loads of retaurants in the leisure park to chose from which is handy.

A nice restaurant to go to with a group of friends. The staff are very friendly and the 'happy hour' deal - a started, main and drink all for a fiver - makes it the perfect place to go out for dinner when you haven't got much money :)

Possibly some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced from thier operations manager John Lyle.
Firstly we were sold a ticket, upon entering the auditorium we had to go back to ask him to turn the lights on we were told we were too early! (why show us to the screen then!), then after waiting we were told that there were technical difficulties and that they couldnt show the film. They did offer to give us a free ticket for another screening and allow us to sit in on one of the other films that were showing at the time.
I was with three children and as you can imagine there was quite a que for the replacement ticket so I told the older two to wait by the door for another film while I collected them. When I got to the head of the que and handed over my 4 tickets, I was then told that all the other films were full and I couldnt go back in, I was then handed only two replacement vouchers, I told the manager that I had two other children waiting for me by the other door and was told curtly that I shouldnt have done that! I asked him for the rest of the tickets to which he replied 'You have got them'. I was getting more than a little annoyed by now and reminded him that I had given him 4 tickets and I expected 4 in exchange and then I would be going back in to collect my children with or without his permission! He thrust the tickets at me and snapped 'that's fine!' as if i needed his permission!
To make matters worse he then started jabbing his finger towards me telling me I should respect him more. I am afriad at that point I lost all patience with this guy and told him not to speak to me in that way He just completly lost the plot and started telling be that he could bar me and get security to 'throw me out!' At that point I walked away as there was clearly no reasoning with the guy.
If cineworld are happy for this man to represent them then I fear they will lose even more custom..Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
