If looking for a place to take a nice relaxing ride, Docs in Garland City is the answer. (May be the smallest city in Arkansas) When you arrive you are going to second guess yourself. Go on in for a wonderful experience. So much like the fish restaurants we had in the 50's and 60's. The folks working inside are great. The Catfish , Steaks and sides are great, the best. Not greasy. I like the whole fish. They are the perfect size. Only somewhat disappointment are the fried shrimp. Not terrible just not at the level of the other food. Maybe pre frozen and breaded. Go, you will go back. We came out of Bossier Parish.

We love Docs! We order take out on Friday evenings during the summer months when we get to visit our Ranch. It is right on the way and they have it ready when we arrive to take with us. During winter months our pup stays in the car and we go in to dine. We love the fish and cole slaw. It is the BEST. We also get steaks to go for the next day. I make sure and order lots of chocolate fried pies to take with us for the whole family. The long homemade hush puppies are my favorite. I get an order to go every time we stop!

Fried shrimp was awful!!! I have had better shrimp out of a box from the grocery store. Not hand battered. They were definitely frozen pre-battered shrimp. Mushy on inside!! I can't believe they actually serve these. Fried fish was good

One of the " fish house" jewels in South Arkansas. Crowds swarm there on weekends for a taste of the past "fried catfish". They also have steaks, shrimp, frog legs .

They are practicing social distancing to some degree and all employees were wearing masks. I've been eating here for years and it hands down the best fried catfish and boiled shrimp restaurant my husband and I have ever been to. It is definitely worth the 30 minute drive from Texarkana.

Ask for Chelsea. She was a delightful and attentive food server, working her way through college.

I've been going here for 20 years. the boil shrimp is always great. The catfish is hot and crispy. The french fries are great You make your own coleslaw so you can add as much dressing as you want. You can order a little bit or order a lot! either way it's always good!. There's nothing bad to say about this place! The waitresses are always good! we go all the time.

I've been coming to Doc's since I was a little girl. I've never had a bad experience. The coleslaw is awesome, especially because you get to pour the dressing yourself! Great fish!

Amazing catfish each and every time we visit. The service is consistent not hit and miss. It is well worth the drive for such good food and friendly people. I have been coming here for many years and still find it to be my favorite fish place.

People love this place, but I can't figure out why. Fish is just fair and my guest's boiled shrimp were inedible. Hush puppies and fries were fair but cole slaw is bad. Server was sweet but not efficient. It's a busy place but I won't be back.
