This place is worth it for the view, and the view alone. The beer and wine was pretty good, and we didn't try the food (only bar nuts). the place is very small and crowded which made it very hard to get around. Definitely worth seeing once if you're a tourist! AMAZING views of the city at dusk!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Missy D.San Diego, USA51449828 sep. 2019

Let's be honest- you're paying for the view, not the cocktails if you visit here. Some of the worst cocktails we've ever had. Ramos Fizz and Amani Mule- our drink order was 0/2. The fizz tasted (and looked) like milk (where's the fizz?) while the mule was flat and tasteless. I think someone forgot to tell our bartender that cocktails are supposed to have flavor... for the price it's ridiculous.
The view, however, is quite nice. In such a small city, you don't have to go very high to take in a great view of the city, and Jules Verne definitely delivers! If you're coming for a view and a drink, however, I highly recommend ordering your own favorite cocktail (instead of their featured items, although I can't even guarantee they'd do a classic cocktail justice) and get here early to find a good seat with a view- it's a small space that fills up fast!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jason H.Greensboro, USA50653581 sep. 2019
This spot has some of the best view in Zurich. The bar has a 360 degree view of the city. The drinks are creative and quite good. There are also beer and wine choices. The drinks are priced high but that's consistent to most places in Zurich. I highly recommend it and will go back again on my next visit to Zurich.

Such a cool place! We visited the Panoramabar after a night out and loved it! We tried several drinks, all of which were delicious. The Negroni was especially tasty! Our waiter was very attentive and helpful, too.

Don't suggest for a sunny day in Zurich. It's covered with unopened windows 360º. Also, the view isn't thaat great. Went to another rooftop restaurant/cafe spot that's uncovered to enjoy the day.
I would probably visit during the night. It'd be pretty with the night lights and being indoors.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Louis R.Jersey City, USA2371217788414 nov. 2016
A fancy lil joint with a view that's SO TIGHT,
but if you want elbow room, your ass better be light.
Crowded to the brim on a Sat night,
The papas fritas and pulpo be tastin a'ight.
It was easy to find the entry via the restaurant below,
Walk in, ask the hostess but don't be slow.
It's a dope place to chill when with your pals
If you want to invite me, bring some gals.
Be like Louis R and live life grand,
Don't be scared, travel to Switzerland.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - 12 nov. 2011
Probably one of the "must" visit bars in Zurich for its expansive view of the city. Located in the distinctively domed top of a former observatory, I definitely found it to be a cool place to hang out and enjoy some drinks. My friend and I found ourselves here on a weekday afternoon and was able to score a table easily, which I've heard is a pretty impossible feat at night, as it's very popular and small. We took in the views while enjoying a couple of refreshing panaches. Good drinks, nice service, great views, I'm a fan!

Because the "Haute" is a private restaurant/club (with incredible terrasse/view over Zürich, the Jules Verne Panorama Bar has to be considered the best view you'll get in Zürich.. and 360°, provided clear weather. Enter the tower bar throught the Brasserie Lipp, move up 11 floors and be happy. There are a few things you should know: Jules Verne Bar IS well known here & abroad, so in rush & happy hours it is really crowded. If you keep this in mind you might find a place at a table and enjoy the nice but expensive choice of wine/cocktails and food.... besides the crowd the service could be better, at times you really have to be patient - for ordering - and for the bill... but honestly, if you avoid rush hours, you'll be rewarded for the fantastic view over Zürich, the Uetliberg and the Lake... Table reservations are only possible for lunch.
Know, that above the bar there is the Urania Observatory (see my picture of the full tower), open to the public at times... unfortunately the webside is in German only...

First- I was there on a Wednesday night at 7 or 8 and there was no cover charge to get it- so perhaps that is only on weekends.
Second- yes, it is crowded and small. But it is always nice and intimate with pleasant staff. And at night, the views really are pretty.
Third- it is understaffed and the bartenders are constantly backed up. Pleasant, but backed up.
Fourth- good cocktails at $18. But please...this is Zurich, not Bayonne NJ. What do you expect to pay at a small cocktail lounge in Chicago or NY or Paris or London? Exactly.
Overall, I'd say come here for a drink or two before going to dinner somewhere in Old Town. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
