We stopped in here for an early dinner before an on foot tour.
It was empty, as it was only 1630 in the afternoon.
We ordered the gazpacho, which was so yummy, with a few little sides to add into it like jamon, cucumber, tomatoes and peppers.
The beef empanadas were delicious, but a little heavy oil wise. I'm more used to crispier air fried ones. But that's a personal preference, and the taste was en point.
The ceviche was fresh, but a little shoyu heavy IMO. Back in Hawaii we eat shoyu poke almost every day, but this had a lot more than what even we are used to. I prefer ceviche citrus heavy.
The head server was very nice. But, as non smokers, didn't appreciate that he was sitting at the door smoking heavily upon entry. But this isn't my culture, so accept it, though it was a little off putting.
Walking past much later in the night, even on a Monday, it was packed and rocking. So they are doing a lot right!
Would return for the gazpacho any day! Even in winter like now.
The happy hour drinks we got were very boozy and tasty. We got the doble sangria and mojito.
With the exchange rate, it was still relatively expensive, but the mojito was done properly. Mojitos in the US are the worst. This redeemed the awful ones I've been having since moving to the states. For Americans, this will be game changing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeremy S.Pompano Beach, USA21226 jan. 2022
This was the worst experience in Paris. The server has no knowledge of the menu and ignore all that patrons as I sat there. He served the paella for without any plates and gave me a look like I was crazy. Then questioned me when I asked for a plate to serve the paella. The paella which was one of their specials was dry and lacked flavor. The servers are horrible and don't attend for any meals at all. The service is a joke and acted like we were the inconvenience to them. Had a great trip until this point, called my wife and talked with her about this....just a shame......you should be ashamed of yourselves......

Kind of Spanish bar where food is really average, service is slow.
Perfect when you have nothing to say to your friends as music is very loud !
Will not come back to these place! Many more around...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 31711421 feb. 2017
I was looking for a change from typical French cuisine, and decided to give this Spanish restaurant a try. Although everything was prepared reasonably, the selection of choices was limited, and the ingredients used in the dishes were nothing special. The overall result was fine, but certainly not exciting. The bread was horrible! The price was great, however, so a reasonable value for your money. The service was ok.

Avoid this place like the plague. Never has a waiter been so utterly rude without cause. We were given a table next to the kitchen and we requested a table away from the heat of the kitchen. The waiter, Vincent, started to yell at us and refused to serve us. We requested a manager and were told that there was no one in charge. The bartender also refused to contact the manager by phone. I have never been to a place where customers were treated so disrecpectfully without cause.

I couldn't disagree with these reviews more. Service was the best part of this place. Short-take: The food was simply inauthentic and bad. Long-take: The paella tasted like a microwaveable dinner. The sauce of the papas bravas was ACTUALLY LISTED ON THE MENU as Tabasco sauce, ketchup, and mayonnaise (for some reason, we still ordered it and it tasted as you would imagine that combination to taste). The mojitos were un-drinkable (and we're a group of four 22 year old Americans who went to state school). Also they didn't have full-sized silverware but serve many full-sized entrées?? A complete waste of $60. We had to go get dinner elsewhere after.

Came in for their lunch menu, which includes three pastas, a glass of sangria, and a dessert for around 12 euros. Really great atmosphere and decor, super nice staff, and great food! The food also came really quick and everything tasted fresh. Would come back!

staff was kind enough to find us a table for a drink as long as we didn't stay longer than 90 mins which was fine. sangria super sweet. meatballs dry, gross, and underseasoned. Octopus basically unseasoned. Just real bad food. Real loud and sceney.

Yuck. Flies in the sangria. Raw chicken wings with tomato sauce. Stale bread. Some kind of travesty performed on a perfectly innocent avocado.
Did not like. Did not return.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Melissa K.Pantin, Frankrike13111915121 aug. 2010
I'm a big fan of places that have floor to ceiling Spanish tilework. There's nothing like resting your glass of homemade sangria on a tiled table and having it wiggle side to side. Somehow feels authentic. And then you have the almost exclusively gay bartenders sporting their kicky tight shirts with funny sayings. Not traditionally Spanish, but I'm a also a fan of juxtaposition.
The menu is exclusively Spanish tapas. Small plates, excellent for sharing with a group. All of the ones I've had were pretty good, and about 1/5th of the menu is vegetarian. I really enjoy the patas bravas and the tortilla. I'd pass on the cheese empanadas, only because I don't like emmental (elemental, as I like to call it) cheese.
I've been here a number of times, and I have to say the first time was the best. I'm not sure if it was the "wow, a new place!" thing or if it actually has gone a little downhill in past 2 years. The menu doesn't change at all, no specials, just kinda same-old same-old. Don't get me wrong, it's good to have an old standby when you aren't sure where to go. I just want a little more pizzazz every time I go. It's a fun location, right in the heart of the gayborhood, so always good for people-watching. Make sure you pick up some of their postcards. I recommend sending the one with the matador in a tutu home to mom and dad, just to give your extended family something to gossip about.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
