Don't be deterred by the oddly shaped parking lot of this newly opened restaurant at the intersection of Cheviot and Blue Rock. There's actually plenty of parking and great-quality, moderately priced Italian food inside. The menu is large and features pastas, meat based entrees and pizzas. Hubby had a Greek salad with an enormous topping mild-flavored feta over iceberg and mixed greens, and enjoyed his baked manicotti. I tried out the New York style pizza. The crust was probably too thick to qualify as authentic, but the toppings were generous and good quality. The atmosphere is pleasant but very casual, with Formica topped tables and plastic booths. Service was prompt and pleasant, even on a busy Friday evening. Seniors and kids menus are available.
If it continues to be managed as well as it is now, this place has the potential to become a welcome fixture in the White Oak area, following a long vacancy of the location. I'm rooting for them!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ryan B.Oakland, USA1812816 maj 2011
My friend and I pulled into this Italian restaurant hoping that the food could make up for the sucky drive and ugly exterior. The food did, kind of.
The garlic knots held us over, but couldn't get us through the enormous wait for our entrees. The service was terrible. We were barely checked on and had to get up and ask for refills. After being told "almost, almost" about our meals, we considered getting up and leaving. But our food finally arrived.
My pasta trio was good, but nothing special. The marinara sauce was plain without much flavor but the lasagna and manicotti were tasty. My friend's dish saved the day. The homemade alfredo sauce on salmon with pasta was quite yummy. The fish was dry, but pretty good.
So yeah, I've definitely experienced better for the price.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joe C.Cincinnati, USA074 maj 2011
Extremely unassuming, but overall a great experience!
Bread that comes with every meal was delicious. Salad was nothing to write home about, but it wasn't necessarily bad.
Both my Wife and I were very happy with out main dishes. Prices were also very moderate.
Don't be fooled by the exterior/interior decor, this is a great family run restaurant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tony S.Cincinnati, USA7418924028 maj 2010
My wife and I just ate there for the first time. The food was really good. Service was fast and friendly. And we both loved their marinara sauce. We plan to go back for sure with family!

I went back for a second trip & our waitress actually remembered us from the first time. I'm not sure if we're one of very few non-regulars or if we're really that memorable. I went with the chicken alfredo & the BF ordered tilapia genovese. We had to spend $35 to use our $25 gift certificate, so we decided to order dessert. $3 for a triple chocolate cheesecake that looked & tasted like it'd been in storage for a while. Great food & pasta, just stay away from the desserts.

It seems like the BF & I always end up at a chain (unless we're going Mexican). We've driven by Roma quite a few times, but were always skeptical. Finally this weekend we got the courage & tried it. The interior is similar to a diner, but the food was much better. As soon as we ordered bread and marinara were delivered to our table. Next: salads. The chicken parmigana was alright, I would have liked more breading. The BF got spagetti "the works" complete with sausage, meatballs, onions, marinara, and mushrooms. He loved it and saw several other dishes he wanted to try (unlike Olive Garden). We were out of there for under $30 plus tip. So much better than Olive Garden!
