Satt und Selig Steakeria

One day we landed there accidentally!
After spending few hours shopping around (I only had to accompany the shopper!), I really needed a beer so ordered a 1 lit beer (Maß), a bowl of olives and a plate full of french fries. The beer and fries were good but the olives (green and black) were not enough tasty and fresh. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and specially the young waitress was polite and kind. Now whenever I am forced to be with the shopper I know a good cozy place to drink my beer.

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend on a sunday noon for lunch. At the time we ordered I ordered a coffee beforehand. The coffee came plain cold and this was just the beginning. The food was not any better than just ordinary. At the end we wanted to pay and asked for check. The waiter went and disappeared. After 15 minutes I walked to the cash register to catch another one. After another 15 minutes of waiting (in cold) a waiter came and told us the price we had to pay by looking at the device he was holding. No receipt or anything. My girlfriend asked for the receipt and he repeated the price again. Then she said "No I want to see what is on the receipt" and he replied "Was Sie gegessen haben!" ("What you have eaten") in a very rude manner. Who does that!!??
We didn't accept the treatment and wanted to have a printed out receipt. He went and disappeared again. I had to go back inside and paid at the cash register after having waited another 20 minutes. It was obvious that they didn't expect any tip for the inexistent service. I guess that is why they gave the change only in yellow coins. At that point I even suspected the hygiene of the food. Those people were plain nasty.

No body needs to sit in a restaurant in which they will be treated so disrespectfully.

We went the other night, a party of eight-- four adults, four kids. We sat, we ordered. Eventually another large party came in, sat down in the adjacent room, and we sat, sat, sat, sat,-- satt, satt, satt. We watched the later party get all their food. Still nothing for us. Finally, after the children were clutching their stomachs in hunger and we were half drunk with no food to go with our drinks, the food finally came. Oh, guess what, my sister-in-law had the wrong order!! SO, we all ate while she looked on, and we finished, and waited, and waited, and waited.... and finally they brought her order. We took it to go. We certainly satt and satt, but we were not selig. They did not lower the bill at all-- no compensation for the awful experience. Terrible!!!
