Streatham Fruiterers

He's cheerful, he's open until eight every night of the week: he's Streatham's foremost greengrocer. Streatham Fruiterer (by Streatham Hill station) has the best fruit and veg for miles in any direction, including Clapham. The shop has British grown raspberries and strawberries all year round thanks to poly tunnels in the Home Counties, but it really comes into its own during the British fruit season when fresh soft fruits and hard-to-find childhood favourites such as damsons arrive in the shop. It's cheaper than Tesco or Sainsbury's and the owner takes a real pride in providing seasonal food. Plus, he let me off 65p when I turned up with only a tenner.
