The Cherry Tree

This is a lovely pub and restaurant in a country setting. I don't think the building itself is very old, but the pub is typical olde England with the restaurant in the conservatory.


The food is superb and the menu changes regularly to reflect in-season foods. In addition to the regular menu they have daily specials.


The service is also excellent. The waiting staff are really friendly and always happy to recommend a particular dish or arrange for something to be cooked to order i.e. pepper steak, no pepper!


I highly recommend this for a reasonably priced, low-key dinner. It's in the middle of nowhere, but worth missing out a few glasses of wine with your meal in order to be the designated driver.


Reserve ahead, especially on a Sunday afternoon when it's packed to bursting with people enjoying their roast dinner.

The Cherry Tree is associated with the Oliver family. Love the glass conservatory. Comfortable dining, close to home. Offer 'specials' to help those on a tighter budget. Situtated on busy road from Rochford to Stambridge. Plenty of free parking.

Situated in the middle of the Rochford countryside with plenty of parking and a garden area. They serve super food at very reasonable prices with a wide choice of vegetarian dishes etc. Drinks are always served well-chilled and clean and friendly pub. Ideal for groups.
